Silhouettes are picture of a person or, animal that is a single color usually black but, the background is colorful. There are 14 tips to help you with silhouettes, and they are 1.) shoot early or, late in the day which means this these times are the best lighting for silhouettes
2.) seek out open space which means you want to take them somewhere with a kinda open space so you don't have a bunch of random things in the background
3.) position yourself first, then the subject which means move your self around to find the perfect angle
4.) position the subject which means position the person or, animal to match your perfect position or, angle
5.) Capture the action which means capture the movement
6.) Think beyond people which means think about the background to or, the position of the person not just what the person looks like
7.) Shoot in manual which means you can control everything on the camera to make it to your liking
8.) Trick your camera you really can't do this with a big camera but, on your cell phone you can click the area that is the brightest so you can turn the rest a darker color
9.) Change your metering mode this is changing the little scale on your camera
10.) Enlist the help of exposure compensation this is if your have already changed everything else, and your photo is still not dark enough you change the exposure making it darker
11.) Use the beauty of bracketing this is taking a series of photos so you have more options
12.) Nail your focus this is focus in on your subject
13.) Skip the flash you don't want to put on the flash because, then the photo won't be dark
14.) Polish and post processing this is basically take your time taking the photo then, edit it a little
