In class today we took photos using AV mode, and both the ISO, and White Balance where on auto. We also used Aperture, aperture is the amount of light that the camera lets in when it take the photos. There are 3 variables to taking photos with aperture, and these three are f/stop which is just how the aperture is measured. There is also Depth Of Field which is a distance between close, and far objects that judge an image to focus on. There is also Focal Length which is the distance between the center of the lens which is focused, and the higher the number the better the zoom is. How we did the assignment though is we took a picture of something outside then used a low f/stop of like say 8 then an high f/stop of like 30. The numbers can vary depending on the object but, one of your objects background is clean, and clear then the other, is kinds blurry making you focus on the object. We had 10 photos so we took 2 pictures of each object.
In class today we took a series of photos using AV mode, and both the ISO, and White Balance where on auto again. This was also Aperture. The series of photos all had the same Depth Of Field, again that is the distance between the closer, and farther objects. When using the aperture you also use depth of field, these tie together because when you are letting the certain amount of light in you also have to make sure the object you are using has to be a good distance from you. You can’t have the object 2 feet away, and have like no light coming in then the background or, even the object will be dark. So they do tie together you just have to make sure you are letting the right amount of light in, and you are the proper amount away.

Today in class we took some photos of an object with a background, and in each photo we zoomed it in a little bit. We had the camera on the AV setting, and we either had the ISO on auto or, the highest setting, and we set the aperture to the lowest setting. We stood about 6 inches to a foot away from that object, and each pictures background was a little blurrier but, the object still stayed in focus on each picture. In the pictures we had focal length which is the zoom, and depth of field these things tie together by making sure you are a good distance away from the object, and weather it is far or, close this is the depth of field. The focal length is the distance between the center of the lens, and the higher the number the better the zoom. These things work together to create the perfect amount of blur in the background, and perfect zoom on the object.
Today in class we took some photos standing about 2-3 feet away from our object, the camera was on AV mode, and the aperture was set to the lowest setting, and we had to zoom the camera all the way in. We had to focus in on an object the take a picture then physically move forward refocus then take a picture we repeated this process until we were 4-6 inches away from the object. We had focal length which is the zoom, and depth of field in these pictures. Again these things work together to create the perfect amount of blur in the background, and perfect zoom on the object.
